Most of my Photoshop experience is self-taught. It’s not a bad thing, but it does involve a bit of stumbling around sometimes. Over the ten or so years I’ve used the program, I’ve picked up a lot of tricks. But this year I decided to take a series of courses to add new skills to my image creation repertoire.
Today’s image is something I had never tried before, but I love it and can’t wait to explore all the variations of this image creation. HUD rings (from “Heads Up Display”) are basically techie-looking designs created from a series of varied layers and manipulated into a circular pattern. I can attest it takes a bit of time to create one, but the effect is beautiful.
Here’s my first attempt.
